McCall's Blessing Day
We were so happy that Grandma
and Grandpa Johnson as well as Granny, Grandpa and Judy could all fly in from Idaho for McCalls blessing. My parents and siblings still at home (Brookeylnn, Isaac, and Emma) were all here too. McCall looked so handsome in his taylored white tux and Monte gave him a wonderful blessing. We enjoyed a great day all together. Thanks to everyone that came!!

2 months today
McCall is 2 months old today. He is getting so big. He is already over 12 pounds. He is such a cutie. It's so fun to finally have a little boy :)
This morning Makayla helped me finish taking down the wall paper in the bathroom while McCall and Mia napped. It snowed today and they canceled school at noon. There was enough snow that Mindy and Makayla got to make a snowman with Monte. They were so cold but had lots of fun! Mindy has a snow day tomorrow too. Poor Mia woke up from her nap with a fever and later threw up. So for the rest of the day she got to rest in her bed and watch movies. Hopefully we won't all get what she has!

Mia's 2nd Birthday!
Mia is officially two! She is such a joy to have in our family. She is almost always happy. If she is crying about something all I have to say is "can you show me happy" and she will say "yap" and smile through her tears. She talks really well and is a quick learner. She has 3 scriptures memorized. The most recent one she has learned is Moses 1:39. We started memorizing it last Monday and by Wednesday she could say the whole thing with just a little help. She loves playing with little toys and being a "Maggie puppy" with Makayla. She is such a cutie we just love her personality!
On her birthday her and Makayla got up at 6! she got to open her presents before Mindy went fi school. Her favorite ones were "grandpa's cow and her favorite book: little lost cowboy. After we got Mindy off to school we went with her nursery friend to the bounce house. She loved jumping and was even brave enough for the big slide. After that we went to Sam's Club for pizza. Later that evening we all went to Red Robin of course! Then when we got back home we had cake and ice cream. After scriptures she could wait to get I her new bed!

A change up
Mindy and Mia both got new beds today! Mindy is now down in the basement in Mia's old room and Mia is in Mindy's old bed. Mindy will be sharing a room with McCall when he can no longer fit in the cradle. Mindy is excited to have a new room, Mia is excited for a new bed, and Makayla is completely content in her same old bed :)
Everyone went to bed great. Mia didn't even get out...We will see how tonight goes!

February day
It snowed today! Makayla looked out the window and said "it's snow flaking!" Shecloves it when it snows because its a good excuse to have hot cocoa. She couldn't wait for Mindy to come home from school so they could play together in the snow. It took at least 30 minutes to find and put on everyone's snow gear! I actually found a pair of snow boots that I forgot we had for Mia to wear. Mindy and Makayla wore their milking boots :)
They were so fun to watch out the window. They were throwing snow balls at each other standing less than a foot apart, making snow angels, and helping each other onto the trampoline. They didnt last too long being out in the snow with cloth gloves!
Here are some pictures from our day.

Baby McCall pictures
McCall is now one month and I cannot believe it. He has grown so much. He's going to be a little chunk!
The first picture was taken of him on his one month mark. I love to see him smile!
The yellow shirt says "little brother". He is in his car seat taking a nice nap outside. It was 62 degrees with no wind on Saturday. It was awesome! We worked and played outside for hours.
The next picture he is 3 weeks old in his Sunday outfit. The cute sweater was made by Aunt Judy (complete with a Boise state patch too!)
The last pic is all the kids in their feet PJs ready for bed (my second favorite time of the day!)

McCall Bronco Johnson
I have been feeling so guilty that I haven't posted pictures of McCall yet... but....Just the thought of blogging is overwhelming!
Here is a short version of his birth story:
McCall was born at home on December 20th at 6:50 pm. He weighed 8.4 lbs and was 19 1/4 in. My parents and siblings came into town that morning. My mom went with me to my midwife appointment while the rest of the clan hung out with the girls. I voiced my concerns to my midwife about not being seen until after I was 42 weeks (my 42 week mark was Christmas Day). She checked me and let's just say it hurt and she sent me home to rest. We went home and I laid down at around 1:30 for about an hour. After getting up and watching tv and visiting for a little bit, my mom went to get some food for the kids. When she got back I was uncomfortable enough to not keep a straight face so we headed down stairs to start timing my contractions. My mom was a great help. We timed my contractions for awhile and they were getting to be about a minute long and about 5 minutes apart. I called Monte at about 3:30 to let him know I was in labor. I then called my midwife and she said to call back in an hour. After laboring for a bit I called Monte to have him come home. He gave me a beautiful blessing and he was a great support for me. I called my midwife just over an hour after I called her the first time to let them know that my contractions were more intense, lasting over a minute, and now only 2 minutes apart. Alex took the kids to Sister Porters. The midwives arrived just after 5:00. I had a lot of back labor and was having really intense contractions. I had a hard time trying to stay relaxed. It was a pretty painful delivery because he was born posterior (face up). When he was born the midwife said "what is it Daddy?" And Monte said "it's a boy!" I just couldn't believe it!! Finally a boy :) when the girls got home they didn't know what we had so when the came in the room and I told them it was a boy their faces lit up and they were so excited! They all love their little brother and especially love to kiss him on the head. Mia even loves him but she said to me tonight "Daddy hold you McCall, Mommy hold you Mia"
We are so happy to have a healthy baby boy!
Enjoy all the pictures!
